Welcome guests, spouses, friends and family to the 2017 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal and Power Integrity in Washington DC.  The Companion Club is your chance to meet new people and catch up with old friends.  You may register for the Companion Club as a part of the technical attendee’s registration, or separately.

Paid Companion Club members are welcome to visit the Companion Club Room where a delicious breakfast will be served each morning. There will be packets of information about nearby museums and local attractions with plenty of options for local transportation.  Come join us for breakfast while you visit with old friends and meet new ones. There will also be daily raffles!

If you register for the Companion Club, you may sign up for any of the Companion Tours right in your own registration.  Otherwise, a tour may be purchased through the technical attendee’s registration; there will be a drop down space to add your name.

Join your technical attendee at any of our Social Events for more fun and to meet more people.  We have special prices for companions under the age 18.  Tickets to the Welcome Reception, a great networking time for all, are included in all Companion Club registrations.  The Evening Gala is also a fun event, and companions are invited to register for this event separately in their Companion Club or technical attendee’s registration.

For the younger crowd, our ever popular Youth Technical Program is back once again to amaze all companions and guests aged 8 to 19.  This program will again be free of charge, but please register early to be assured a project kit.  Registration for each young person can be made either through your own Companion Club registration or the technical attendee’s registration.

A tour of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, situated on the banks of the Potomac River, is a highlight of any visit to Washington, D.C. Guests will be introduced to our nation’s capital and see the best that Washington has to offer! A dedicated certified guide will begin the tour with an overview of Washington, DC and entertain your group with unique, historical and entertaining facts about the city. Speaker Elaine Flynn will come to your ladies lunch to entertain as a keynote speaker introducing them to Washington, DC, without them leaving their seat! With knowledge gained from more than a decade of experience as a licensed tour guide, Elaine will present your guests with a program that brings the streets of DC to life. Elaine will present the “First Ladies” of Washington as Alice Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt’s daughter, who has experienced it all! “Who better than I to talk to these First Ladies? After all, my stepmother was First Lady.  The longest-serving First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt was my cousin, and I’ve been in and out of the White House from the days of Benjamin Harrison, to the days of Richard Nixon.” This interactive presentation will teach your guests about life in DC, the city and the history from her special and very unique viewpoint.

After lunch there will be a tour of the first ladies exhibit at the Smithsonian American History Museum.

Tour the Maryland State House, ride through the streets of the Annapolis Historic District and surrounding area in the comfort of your own minicoach and stroll through the United States Naval Academy.
